TESCO Supermarket, Northallerton

Rokeby assembled a site for a new 44,000 sq ft foodstore in Northallerton town centre for Tesco Stores and work was completed in December 2001.

Planning discussions were very lengthy and detailed because part of the site was on a Conservation Area. Rokeby worked with Hambleton District Council and English Heritage to identify a design, which sat comfortable within its setting, whilst still providing the floor space and modern entrance required by the operator.

Investment in the site was approximately £7 million.
